Hypnotherapy & RTT®
The Deep
Change is rarely a question of willpower alone. Thoughts, emotions, habits and past experience can all shape a pattern. Hypnotherapy offers a structured way to explore a goal using focused attention, imagery and suggestion — collaboratively, and with you in control.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis uses focused attention and suggestion. You may feel deeply relaxed, or simply absorbed in the exercise. It is not sleep or unconsciousness, and each person experiences it differently.
We begin with the goal you have chosen and agree how the exercise will work. You can speak, pause, decline a suggestion or stop at any point.
The work may give you a different way to notice thoughts, feelings and responses. It does not remove your judgement or guarantee a particular result.
Rapid Transformational Therapy — RTT®
RTT® is a branded approach developed by Marisa Peer. Its training provider describes it as using hypnosis and drawing on techniques from CBT, psychotherapy and NLP.
In a session, we may use focused attention, imagery, reflection and suggestions agreed with you. Anything remembered or imagined is treated as subjective experience, not proof that an event occurred or an exact account of why a pattern began.
People respond differently. We review the work together rather than promising a rapid outcome or a fixed number of sessions.
Ninety minutes.
There is time to discuss your goal and relevant context, explain consent, complete the focused exercise and reflect afterwards. You may want some quiet after a session, though responses vary.
We agree the focus
We begin with what you would like to work on, what you have already tried, and anything relevant to your care or safety. We also agree how the session will run.
You settle into focused attention
I guide you through relaxation, imagery and focused attention. You remain aware, can speak, and can pause or stop at any time.
We explore what arises
Thoughts, feelings, images or memories may come to mind. We work with their present meaning without treating them as proof that an event happened exactly as remembered.
We work with new perspectives
Using language and suggestions we have agreed together, we explore a more useful way to understand the pattern and respond to it.
You receive your recording
I prepare a personalised audio using the language and goals from your session. We agree how to use it between sessions; it supports the work but does not guarantee an outcome.
A personal resource, shaped around your session.
Every session includes a personalised recording prepared using themes and language agreed with you. It is made for your own use rather than adapted from a generic script.
We discuss how and when to listen. Repetition can support the practice between sessions, but the recording does not guarantee an outcome.
Delivery, access and retention details are confirmed with you before the recording is provided.
Common ground.
If what you are carrying is not on this list, it does not mean it is not workable. Ask.
- Anxiety and feeling constantly on edge
- Confidence and self-worth
- Stress and burnout
- Public speaking and performance nerves
- Perfectionism and the fear of being found out
- Habits and routines that have not shifted
- Self-critical thoughts
- Motivation and follow-through
- A specific change you want to explore

Before we begin.
Clear answers about hypnosis, RTT®, consent, memory, suitability and what the work can — and cannot — promise.
What is Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®)?
RTT® is a branded approach developed by Marisa Peer. Its training provider describes it as using hypnosis and drawing on techniques from CBT, psychotherapy and NLP.
In my sessions, we use focused attention, imagery, reflection and agreed suggestions to work with a goal you have chosen. Outcomes vary, and I do not promise a particular result or number of sessions.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis uses focused attention and suggestion. You may feel deeply relaxed or simply absorbed in the exercise. It is not sleep or unconsciousness, and each person experiences and responds to it differently.
What happens during a session?
We begin by discussing what you would like to work on, any relevant health or care information, and how the session will run. I may then guide you through focused attention, relaxation, imagery and suggestions we have agreed together.
You can speak, pause, decline a suggestion or stop the exercise at any time.
Will I lose control or get stuck in hypnosis?
No. You remain in control and do not have to accept any suggestion. You can ask to stop or bring your attention back whenever you choose.
Can hypnosis reveal exactly what caused a problem?
Hypnosis is not a truth serum and is not a reliable way to verify or recover past events. Images or recollections may feel vivid without necessarily being accurate. Anything that comes to mind is treated as subjective experience, not proof that an event occurred.
Are RTT® and CBT the same thing?
No. They are distinct approaches. RTT®'s developer describes it as drawing on elements of CBT alongside hypnosis and other techniques, but an RTT® session is not the same as a structured course of CBT.
We can discuss which approach fits your goals and whether another form of professional support would be more appropriate.
How quickly will I notice a change?
There is no guaranteed timeline. Evidence for hypnosis differs by condition and intended use, and people respond differently. We review how the work is affecting you rather than assuming that one session, or any fixed number of sessions, will produce a particular result.
When might hypnotherapy not be suitable?
Please tell me before booking about relevant physical or mental-health conditions, medication and any care you currently receive. NHS guidance says hypnotherapy may not be suitable for people experiencing psychosis and advises checking with an appropriate clinician when serious or unstable conditions are present.
A session will not proceed if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unable to give informed consent, or need urgent or specialist care.
Does this replace medical or mental-health care?
No. RTT® and hypnotherapy do not replace diagnosis, treatment or emergency support from a doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist or other appropriately licensed professional. Do not stop or change prescribed medication or treatment without speaking to the clinician responsible for your care.
One session, or three.
Each session runs about 90 minutes and includes your recording. You can choose a single session or the three-session programme. Neither option implies a guaranteed result or timeline.
Three-session programme
Three sessions planned togetherAfter your booking request, you can complete the intake or ask me to send it separately. The form does not offer crisis support. The proposed terms are available in the working together draft.
